Festival of Lights
Westfield Miranda
For Festival of Lights atWestfield Miranda,Visual Empiredelivered a large-scale, multi-zone installation spanning the Fig Tree outdoor precinct and the ELP rooftop activation space. The concept centred on a luminous garden ecosystem, brought to life through oversized illuminated and animated moving butterflies, bees, ants, crickets and dragonflies woven among sculptural LED flowers and glowing dandelions. Light curtain columns defined key thresholds and pathways, while custom LED trees and programmable lighting sequences introduced movement and rhythm across both sites. Each zone was designed to feel distinct yet visually connected, encouraging visitors to explore from ground level to rooftop. A giant LED butterfly served as the hero photo moment — engineered for impact, durability and high foot traffic — anchoring the campaign with a strong social focal point. From fabrication and weatherproofing to complex programming and staged installations, the project required tight coordination to ensure both activation spaces launched seamlessly and operated reliably throughout the event period.
